RE:   Results of Test Evaluation on Our Aluminum Wheel Remanufacturing Process

Transwheel, the nation's premier provider of replacement wheels, recently contracted with Independent Test Services (the same engineering firm that test wheels for all the North American OE wheel manufacturers) to determine the effect of the Transwheel Remanufacturing Process (TRP) on the structural integrity of aluminum wheels. The wheels were evaluated on the three primary tests used to assess the OEM and SAE standards, as well as against new wheels. The parameters and results of this testing are as follows:

Test One - Radial Fatigue

Test Measure: This test stresses the wheel, with particular focus on the center hub of the wheel, with a heavier than normal load in a straight-line simulation.

Test Results: Wheels refinished per the TRP not only passed and exceeded both SAE and OEM acceptance measures, they also exceeded the performance of the pristine wheels.

Test Two - Rotary Fatigue

Test Measure: This test stresses the wheel, with particular focus on the center hub of the wheel, with a heavier than normal load in a cornering simulation.

Test Results: Wheels refinished per the TRP not only passed and exceeded both SAE and OEM acceptance measures, they also exceeded the performance of the pristine wheels.

Test Three - Side Impact

Test Measure: This test simulates impacting/curbing the wheel at high speeds.

Test Results: Wheels refinished per the TRP not only passed SAE and OEM acceptance measures, they also equaled the performance of the pristine wheels.

Test Summary
The wheels evaluated per the Transwheel Process (TRP) passed all three test established for the OEM and SAE standards. In addition, of significant note, the wheels remanufactured per the TRP performed as well as the new wheels on the side impact test and exceeded the new wheels on both the rotary fatigue and radial fatigue tests.

  4.   What is safe to repair?
 
  Transwheel safely repairs many different forms of damage to aluminum wheels including minor straightening, curb abrasion, flange damage and corrosion. Please review our Repair Guide for details.
 
  5.   How quickly can I receive a replacement wheel?
 
  Transwheel restores most wheels within 24 hours of receipt at our facility. In addition, we can ship wheels from our inventory, generally the same day that you order, expedited shipping services are available.
 
  6.   How does your pricing compare with the cost of new wheels?
 
  As a guideline, purchased wheels from Transwheel are approximately half of the cost of new wheels, and restored and exchanged wheels are approximately one-third the cost. This amount varies from wheel to wheel. Please call to receive pricing for your specific needs.
 
  7.   What do you do to repair aluminum wheels?
 
  The process varies depending on the nature of the damage to the wheel. Each wheel is initially inpsected to ensure that it is safe to repair. Then they go through a series of refinishing processes that may include stripping, straightening, welding, machining, painting and clear coating. Every wheel is examined at each step of the process to ensure that they conform to our very high standards.
 
  8.   What services does Transwheel provide?
 
  For aluminum wheels, we can restore your repairable aluminum wheel, exchange it with one from our inventory and/or sell you one from our inventory.
  For steel wheels, we can sell you one from our inventory.
  For chrome wheels, we can chrome your painted aluminum wheels, exchange your repairable painted cores with chromed wheels and/or sell you a chrome wheel from our inventory.
 
  9.   Who utilizes our services?
 
  We supply wheels to the leading companies in every automotive related market including insurance companies, body shops, dealerships, tires stores, auto recyclers, individuals, and automotive parts suppliers.   To date, we have provided hundreds of thousands of wheels to our thousands of customers.
